Film In A Day

A full day workshop designed for all crew member to learn the important things about being film and commercial sets.

Ideal for: Film and Screen Media Students Years 7 - 9

The Film In A Day workshop offers the opportunity to explore all aspects of filmmaking.

Here’s What We'll Be Covering


This intensive film-making workshop introduces production elements such as story stucture, cinematography, directing, acting and more, placing students in creative film-making roles. Working collaboratively create a story, students will explore concepts of narrative, genre and visual storytelling.

Guided by filmmakers we choose an Idea and flesh out a basic script. we will then work through the logistics and break it down and create a shot list.


We will then rehearse each scene, block it, go through camera set-ups. We will discuss the best way to light and shoot the scenes. Students will then participate in actually shooting the film and will have the opportunity to get hands on with different roles on the set.

The team at Pluggas Studio will then edit together the film and the students will receive a copy within two weeks.

Learn what each department of a production does and the basics of each crew members role

Make a Film

In this practical workshop students will be active in all parts of the process and will have contributed to a finished film at the conclusion
